Start Strong Camden: Free Business Training for Underrepresented Entrepreneurs
Underrepresented groups – particularly women, ethnic minorities, migrants, young people, and other underserved communities in the borough of Camden – now have the opportunity to access fully funded support to transform early-stage ideas into legally registered businesses or social enterprises.
Delivered by Allia Impact and generously funded by Balderton Capital, Start Strong Camden is a six-week pre-startup programme offering expert-led weekly sessions, one-to-one mentoring, and continued support beyond the programme – all entirely free to participants. It is designed to remove barriers for those who may not otherwise have access to traditional business support.

Participants will build practical skills in business modelling, financial confidence, marketing and branding, legal setup, and pitching – culminating in a clear, actionable roadmap to launch. The programme welcomes ideas across all sectors, from tech-for-good ventures to social enterprises, with a common goal of delivering meaningful social or environmental impact.
The programme will start in the autumn and will consist of weekly 2-hour hybrid sessions plus dedicated one to one mentoring.
